Hey, I’m only a week late posting this. It could be worse. =) So the first FEST craft fair was a roaring (pun intended) success. My parents drove down from Jacksonville to be my helpers and companions for the day, which was great. The weather was beautiful, the dinos scary, and, most importantly: people came! Yay. Here are some photos:
Me and my mom.
People shopping….
I was soooo thankful that I’d remembered my umbrella–first when it looked like rain, and later when it got pretty dang hot. And aren’t my folks cute?
One of the best parts of the day was all the talented folks I got to meet. Like my new buddy in this picture. And the brains behind Red Marionette, Thomasina Jewelry, Boogie Bead, Moll Doll, and Holly Paints, just to name a few.
Some of the dino displays were a bit more…um, realistic than I’d expected. Yikes. Then again, some were much more passive than I’d expected:

Thank you! I got the cut-out letters at Joann Fabric for a buck apiece. They’re felt and they already had grommets!

I haven’t done a crafts fair in a while. Seeing this makes me want to get some things together and try it again.
